Dakota Mayr is the newest associate attorney at Pfister Family Law. Although new as an attorney, she’s been working with the PFL family for over a year helping John Pfister and Phillip Moore with all aspects of their cases from drafting, preparing arguments, and shadowing them in court.
Her fierce competitiveness and compassion for others give her a unique advantage in approaching her client’s cases.
A graduate of The University of North Texas Dallas College of Law, Dakota was active within the student body as Vice President of the Women in Law Student Society and the Junior Representative for TYLA. She spent over 300 hours in the university’s clinic where she helped indigent families gain access to fair justice in the courtroom.
Dakota completed her undergraduate degree at Stephen F. Austin State University where she was a college pole vaulter. Her history as a collegiate athlete gives her an edge in high-pressure situations, which in turn allows for the best results for her clients, no matter what the obstacle.
In understanding how taxing family law cases can be, Dakota understands the importance of having someone in your corner willing to fight for the most important things in your life. “I know that life happens and sometimes life takes unexpected turns when it comes to family matters. My goal is to approach each client with the compassion and competitiveness as I would if they were my own family.”
